Accelerating the market uptake of zero-emission trucks: The case for strong demand-side measures

Europe has established some of the world’s most ambitious supply-side regulations for heavy-duty vehicles, requiring a 45% reduction in fleet-average CO2 emissions by 2030. Meeting this target means that approximately one in every three new trucks will need to be zero-emission by 2030.
Yet, while manufacturers are investing heavily and zero-emission trucks are increasingly available, demand is not keeping pace with the required trajectory. High upfront costs, persistent TCO gaps, infrastructure delays and fragmented national policies continue to slow market uptake.
Based on a recent Smart Freight Centre (SFC) report, supported by ACEA, this #ACEATruckTalks webinar will explore how to close the gap between regulatory ambition and market reality.
Join us to discuss how Europe can turn ambitious ZEV targets into market reality – and put road freight on track for 2030!
